I took these inspiring photographs at my horse yard as i felt they related well to my project material matters where my theme was reconstruct/deconstruct. I used these images to develop through my knit samples.
I used contrasting colours to create this funky knit sample intended for womenswear context in specific jumpers. The vibrant yellow linear shape stands out and balances against the deep purple.
Using a punchcard I created this sample with a repeat pattern in a diamond network, I used the bright orange lambswool to finish the sample off.
I completed a jewellery project in first year and the brief was to design a collection inspired by a specific animal. I decided to look at elephants and produced this collection of interesting rings that could be worn together or separate.
My group decided to produce a video with a sinister feel as our final piece for our week long interdisciplinary project. I was working with a fellow textile student, a jewellery student and two interior students. We felt recording our voices communicated our message as do you really know your own identity well. I think the message and concept are extremely strong.
